Customisable Casino .exe’s For Affiliates

Greetings webmasters! I trust you all fared well in the festive season :-)

Somewhere in all the mad winter rush we added a nice new feature to our casinos download process. Partners are now able to customise the name of the casino executable directly from their websites.

For the most part this does not effect any the normal traffic into our main brand sites, however for those guys and gals that like to link directly to our downloads and want a little more customisation.

Here’s how you do it!

The standard URL variables for a direct download

http://www.7sultans.eu/btag-yourtag/download.casino

When the download launches, it looks something like this.

This directly launches the download wraps the banner tag “btag-yourtag” into the software.

Visually : The standard executable for 7Sultans reads “7Sultans.exe” to the user.

The custom variable coder

An additional variable can now be added to the direct download that now re-names the exe while wrapping the partner tag on the fly.
The variable is called ‘filedisplayname’ and you can use any name to rename any EXE.

Here’s an example where we used “MySlotsSite” as the customised variable.

http://www.7sultans.eu/btag-yourtag/download.casino?filedisplayname=MySlotsSite.

The New URL Structure

Fortune Affiliates are making improvements to their reporting. Unfortunately, this requires you to make some changes to your media. Every piece of media pulled from the Fortune Affiliates website after the end of March will already reflect the new structures.

Changes to your old media items must be made after the following dates:

Now you may ask why the different dates? Simply because a staggered, careful approach will minimise the errors. Fortune can’t make money if you don’t send players and you can make much more money if you have better reporting and more accurate funnel analysis (which banners in what places work for me). So we have to work together on this. Fortune have also assured me that they will do everything in their power to make sure this process goes smoothly.

So why this change? It will allow FA and you to track your campaigns better in terms of optimising a campaign, or running a tiered affiliate operation, or even just looking at the full funnel.

So what if I don’t change? Well, Fortune will still track your players to you but they won’t be able to report on the players. Your players will still earn you revenue because Fortune have implemented a step that will map the old tags to your account.
